Job summary

The Children's Place in Secaucus, New Jersey is seeking an Associate Designer to support the design process from concept to final prototype. You will sketch by hand and in Illustrator, create seasonal boards, color and detail lines, and update sampling sheets while upholding the brand's look and vision.

Working under a Designer, you will execute designs for a focused area, prepare accurate packaging, build strong cross-functional relationships, and contribute to trend research and category

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in design or related field.
• 0–3 years of experience in design or related field.
• Proficiency in Illustrator, Photoshop, and Microsoft Office.
• Strong organization and communication skills.
• Ability to understand and take design direction.

Responsibilities

• Execute designs under direction of a Designer with a focus on a particular area of line
• Ensure that detail/sampling packages are accurate and complete; hand off to appropriate team members on time
• Develop strong working relationship with design counterparts to ensure cohesive point of view
• Communicate effectiveylwith appropriate partners to ensure product execution according to design intent

Location: Secaucus, New Jersey

Job Summary: The Associate Designer will be responsible for supporting the design process in an assigned focused product from conception to final prototype to include freehand and illustrator sketching, creating and maintaining seasonal assortment boards, coloring and detailing the line, and creating/updating point out sampling sheets. This position will embody the values and practices of The Children’s Place by having effective collaborative relationships and maintaining the unique look, integrity, and vision of the brand.

Responsibilities:
