Job summary

42 North Dental in Portland, ME is seeking a Dentist to join Restorative and Aesthetic Dental Associates. You will oversee the full clinical patient experience from initial exam and treatment planning to delivery of care, with in‑house periodontics, endodontics, oral surgery, and orthodontics.

We offer a flexible schedule (full‑time or part‑time), no nights or weekends, and strong earning potential through production‑based compensation, along with comprehensive benefits and ongoing education

Qualifications

• DDS or DMD degree from an ADA CODA‑accredited program.
• Current state dental license to practice.
• CPR/BLS certification.
• Malpractice insurance coverage.
• Hepatitis B vaccination evidence.

Responsibilities

• Promote oral health and disease prevention.
• Diagnose oral diseases and plan treatment.
• Educate patients on options and outcomes.
• Create and review treatment plans with patients.
• Perform restorative and preventive dental care.
• Provide surgical procedures when required.
• Maintain high ethical standards and documentation.

Responsibilities:

Promote oral health and disease preventionDiagnose oral diseasesEducate patients on oral health and various treatment optionsCreate treatment plans to maintain or restore patient's oral healthReview treatment plan options with patientsReview, maintain and update patients' medical and dental recordsReview and interpret x-rays and diagnostic testsMonitor growth and development of the teeth and jawsProvide proper restorative and preventive dental carePerform surgical procedures on the teeth, bone and soft tissues of the oral cavityMaintain the highest quality standard of care for all patients Maintain the highest standard of ethics and professionalismKeep abreast of new developments, technologies, best practices and standard of care through current continuing education courses and professional development
