Associate Dentist - General and Preventative Dentistry

Morton Dental Group is seeking an Associate Dentist who wants to build a strong foundation in comprehensive general dentistry while developing clinical confidence, patient relationships, and sound diagnostic judgment.

This role is ideal for a dentist in the earlier stage of their career who values mentorship, structured development, and the opportunity to grow within a doctor-led organization. The primary clinical focus will include preventive hygiene care, comprehensive examinations, restorative dentistry, crowns, emergency care, patient education, and other foundational general dentistry procedures.

Advanced surgical procedures and implant dentistry are not initial expectations for this position. Opportunities to expand into additional procedures may be available as the doctor’s experience, competency, and interests develop..

What You’ll Do

• Provide comprehensive examinations and diagnose patients’ oral-health needs
• Deliver preventive hygiene services, including prophylaxis, periodontal assessments, radiographs, and patient education
• Diagnose periodontal conditions and recommend appropriate treatment or referral
• Perform restorative dentistry, including fillings, crowns, and other procedures within demonstrated competency
• Evaluate and treat appropriate dental emergencies
• Develop ethical, comprehensive treatment plans based on each patient’s health, goals, risks, and priorities
• Explain findings and treatment recommendations in clear, compassionate language
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Practice within demonstrated competency and seek consultation when appropriate
• Partner with dental assistants, treatment coordinators, front-office team members, and the Office Manager
• Participate in morning huddles, case reviews, mentorship, and required development activities
• Build long-term patient relationships through consistent, personalized care
• Support continuity of care by addressing preventive, diagnostic, and restorative needs
• Apply coaching and feedback to strengthen clinical judgment, communication, efficiency, and patient care

Qualifications

• Doctor of Dental Surgery or Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from an accredited dental school
• Active, unrestricted dental license in the applicable state or eligibility to obtain licensure before practicing
• Current BLS or CPR certification
• DEA registration and prescribing credentials when required
• Ability to meet credentialing, professional liability, background, payer, and compliance requirements
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Commitment to ethical, patient-centered care
• Willingness to complete the Doctor Academy, clinical mentorship, continuing education, and performance-review process

General dentistry experience gained through residency, clinical practice, externships, or strong dental-school rotations is welcomed but not required.
