Job summary

42 North Dental is seeking a highly skilled dentist to join our Portland, ME practice. The role covers the full clinical patient experience from exams to comprehensive treatment planning, with in-office specialty services including periodontics, endodontics, oral surgery, and orthodontics.

Qualifications

• DMD or DDS degree from a CODA-accredited program.
• Current state dental license in good standing.
• Documentation of Hepatitis B vaccination.
• Proof of malpractice insurance.
• Current BLS/CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Promote oral health and disease prevention.
• Diagnose oral diseases and develop treatment plans.
• Educate patients on oral health and treatment options.
• Create and discuss treatment plans to maintain or restore oral health.
• Review treatment options with patients and obtain informed consent.
• Review, maintain and update patients' medical and dental records.
• Interpret X-rays and diagnostic tests to inform care.
• Provide restorative and preventive dental care.
• Perform surgical procedures on teeth, bone, and soft tissues as needed.
