Job summary

42 North Dental in Portland, ME is seeking a Dentist to lead the clinical patient experience from exam and treatment planning to delivery of care. In-office specialties include periodontics, endodontics, oral surgery, and orthodontics.

You'll work within a restorative and aesthetic dental team at a modern, patient-centered practice with a strong emphasis on comprehensive care, education, and collaboration. Competitive production-based earnings and supportive mentorship are offered.

Qualifications

• DMD or DDS degree from a university-based dental education program accredited by the ADA CODA.
• Current state license to practice dentistry.
• Documentation of Hepatitis B vaccination.
• Proof of malpractice insurance.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Promote oral health and disease prevention.
• Diagnose oral diseases.
• Educate patients on oral health and treatment options.
• Create treatment plans to maintain or restore oral health.
• Review treatment plan options with patients.
• Review and update patients' medical and dental records.
• Review and interpret x-rays and diagnostic tests.
• Monitor growth and development of teeth and jaws.
• Provide proper restorative and preventive dental care.
• Perform surgical procedures on teeth, bone and soft tissues.
• Maintain high quality standard of care and ethics.
• Keep updated on new developments and continuing education.
