Delta Dental of Michigan, Ohio, and Indiana is seeking an Associate Dental Director to lead government programs dental consulting and utilization management in a hybrid Okemos, MI role. You will guide clinical staff, align workflows, and ensure compliance with applicable regulations.

Ideal candidates bring a DDS/DMD and extensive experience in government program management, with strong communication, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Qualifications

• Must have a D.D.S./D.M.D. degree and active license in applicable states.
• Experience with Medicaid/Medicare Advantage or similar programs preferred.
• Strong clinical and operational leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Manages clinical staff and supports utilization management for government programs.
• Provides advanced clinical and operational guidance and coordinates workload.
• Performs complex clinical determinations for prior authorizations, appeals, and reviews.
• Ensures compliance with federal/state statutes, NCQA/URAC standards in claims processing.
• Leads training, documentation, and process improvements within the dental consulting team.
• Collaborates with state partners and customers on utilization management matters.
