Job summary

Northeast Texas Community College in Mount Pleasant, TX is seeking an Associate Degree Nursing Faculty member to deliver evidence-based classroom and clinical instruction aligned with the Texas Board of Nursing standards.

Responsibilities include curriculum development, student assessment, academic advising, committee participation and ongoing professional growth to promote student success and program excellence at NTCC.

Qualifications

  • RN license in Texas (unencumbered) and current RN license.
  • PhD, DNP or MSN in Nursing required/preferred; six graduate hours in nursing relevant to teaching responsibilities.
  • Full-time college-level teaching experience desirable; ability to develop and deliver instruction; strong interpersonal & communication skills.

Job description

The Associate Degree Nursing Faculty member is responsible for delivering competent, evidence-based classroom and clinical instruction in accordance with the college's mission and the Texas Board of Nursing standards. They oversee curriculum development, student assessment, and participation in college and professional activities. This role involves academic advising, committee membership, and active engagement in ongoing professional growth to promote student success and program excellence.

Experience and Other Qualifications Required:

Candidates must hold an unencumbered, current Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the Texas Board of Nursing. A PhD, DNP or a Master's Degree in Nursing (MSN preferred) is required, along with at least 6 graduate semester hours in nursing relevant to the teaching responsibilities. Prior full-time college-level teaching experience, preferably at a community college, is highly desirable. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to develop and deliver effective instruction, possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, and have a genuine love of teaching. A commitment to ongoing professional growth, dedicated service, and adherence to ethical standards is essential for success in this role.
