TheGlobal Research, Informatics & Platform Solutions teamwithin the Information Research (IR) Divisionworks with internal clients to providedata management and decision support tools tooptimizethe efficiency and efficacy of research and developmentat AbbVie. Under leadership guidance, this role supportsmultipleareas within Research & Discovery tobuildvisualizations, transform data, capturedata,andsupport end users. The role alsoparticipatesin data flowdocumentation and general requirement gathering. This is a cross-functional role, workingdirectlywithdiscovery scientistsandtechnology stakeholderstooptimizedata capture,visualization, and decision-making.

Responsibilities:

• Communicate –Abilityto communicate with scientific individuals. fromDiscoveryteamstounderstand existing workflowsand data flow& gather requirements.
• Build – Design and implement technology solutions that integrate, visualize, and analyzecomplexmulti-platform data, including omics, biomarkers, &preclinical safety.
• Integrate –Understandthe value incapturingdata properly and integrating data sets.
• Support –Work directly with scientists to supporttheir dashboarding or technical needs.
• Technical Proficiency– Demonstratehighproficiencyinpython, SQL, & othertechnologies for data storage, transfer, integration, visualization, and analytics.
• Adaptability –Ability to work on multiple, sometimesvery different, projects at one time.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree.
• Background in life sciences,biology, or equivalentrequired.
• Dedicated team player who caninterface withdiscovery scientists and IT partners.
• Strong programmingproficiencyin Python (andpossibly othermodern languages) and strongfamiliarity with data visualization and pipelining tools such as Spotfire, or equivalent
• Understanding of software development process and familiarity with CI/CD tools.
• Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration& training, including documenting and presenting technical solutions to non-technical stakeholders:outstanding interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Familiarity with modern data science and AI techniques& interest in further developing technical skills and scientific knowledge.
• Ability to work independently, multitask, and work within timelines.
• A self-motivated learner and thinker with a hands-on approach.
