Job summary

Vistra Energy is seeking an Associate Data Analyst in the United States to collect, organize, analyze, and interpret data to support business decisions.   • Demonstrated ability to be trustworthy and dependable.

Responsibilities

  • Collecting and interpreting data from various sources, such as databases, spreadsheets, and other systems.
  • Connect to and extract data from multiple enterprise sources including Snowflake, Azure SQL, SAP, APIs, flat files, and other systems to support analysis and reporting needs.
  • Developing and implementing data collection systems and other strategies that optimize data quality.
  • Build and maintain data pipelines and datamarts that consolidate consultant, customer, sales, and commission data into a clean, reliable layer optimized for reporting and analysis.
  • Design, develop, and maintain dashboards in Power BI and Tableau that provide leadership with clear visibility into consultant performance, commission outcomes, sales trends, and customer behavior.
  • Identify areas for improvement in data collection and analysis processes and recommend solutions to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Maintain and update databases and other systems to ensure accurate and up-to-date information.
  • Conduct in‑depth analysis of structured and unstructured datasets using SQL, Python, and Excel to identify trends, anomalies, and business drivers.
  • Partner with business stakeholders across sales, finance, operations, and marketing to define KPIs, scope analytical requirements, and deliver insights that support business decisions.
  • Respond to ad hoc data requests with accurate, timely analysis, and translate findings into clear recommendations for management and senior leadership.
  • Identify opportunities to improve data quality, automate manual reporting processes, and strengthen the accuracy and efficiency of analytical workflows.
  • Maintain and document data models, dashboards, and reporting logic to ensure work is repeatable, scalable, and auditable.
