Job summary

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • In lieu of education, six continuous months of relevant Discover engineering training.
  • Note: External applicants will be required to perform a technical interview.

  • Design new systems according to architecture guidelines and perform continuous integration.
  • Conduct research and testing on scanning tools and develop comparison studies with security systems knowledge.
  • Test defense technologies prior to deployment to determine feasibility for integration.
  • Engineer cybersecurity and data-analytics solutions, including vendor technology reviews.
  • Support current and future state architectural models to assess impact across assigned cybersecurity technology systems.
  • Analyze cybersecurity technology capabilities and specifications to identify enhancements.
  • Perform ongoing assessment of team and program activities to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with audit, regulatory, and legal requirements.
  • Serve as the escalation point for engineering, security solutions, and advanced analytics tools.

Associate Cybersecurity Engineer

The Associate Cybersecurity Engineer supports the cybersecurity roadmap and contributes to the delivery of secure systems, cyber solutions, cyber applications, and technical projects while ensuring regulatory and risk requirements are met. The role focuses on engineering new technologies, program optimization, vulnerability remediation, metrics reporting, performance analysis, and mitigation of operational risk in a high‑velocity environment.

Responsibilities
  • Interpret technology direction and analyze cybersecurity systems using professional knowledge, advanced analytical techniques, and specialized security training.
  • Design new systems according to architecture guidelines and perform continuous integration.
  • Conduct research and testing on scanning tools, developing comparison studies with security systems professional knowledge.
  • Test defense technologies prior to deployment to determine feasibility for integration.
  • Engineer cybersecurity and data‑analytics solutions, including vendor technology reviews.
  • Support current and future state architectural models to assess impact across assigned cybersecurity technology systems.

Compensation: Base pay ranges from $59,500.00 to $99,900.00, with additional incentives as part of a market‑competitive total compensation package. Pay may be adjusted based on location, experience, education, and skill level.
