LinkedIn is seeking an Associate Critical Infrastructure Technician (Day Shift) to support data center power distribution, RDUs, and DCIM documentation. You will work with contracted technicians and full-time engineers, following safety practices and change management.
The role requires 2+ years in data center power distribution, LOTO/PPE safety, and the ability to respond to power and cooling events. On-site, with on-call rotation and close collaboration with site supervisor.
We are the world's largest professional network, built to help members of all backgrounds and experiences achieve more in their careers. Our vision is to create economic opportunity for every member of the global workforce. Every day our members use our products to make connections, discover opportunities, build skills and gain insights. We believe amazing things happen when we work together in an environment where everyone feels a true sense of belonging, and that what matters most in a candidate is having the skills needed to succeed. Join us to challenge yourself with work that matters.
This role, due to the business needs of the team, requires employees to be physically present in the specified office on a full-time basis. This helps to ensure you are best equipped to be successful and have the experience you need to fulfil the responsibilities of the role.
As an Associate Critical Infrastructure Technician, you will be responsible for troubleshooting all power distribution and RDU (power strip) related issues. You will also be responsible for the installation, routing, termination, and testing of rack power distribution — RDUs/power strips, power whips, and busway tap-offs — within the data center, as well as the accurate documentation of power topology in LinkedIn's DCIM (InOps) system. You will be responsible for Change Management events (CMs) and all requests associated monthly. You will be mentored by level 2 critical infrastructure technicians and assist them with various critical facilities and preventive maintenance tasks as necessary. You must have basic data center power experience and entry level electrical safety (LOTO/PPE) skills. The quality of the work performed will have a direct impact on the stability and performance of the company's enterprise computer systems. Being a global company, down-time is measured in minutes, so responsiveness and effectiveness during power and cooling events are critical. You will be working directly with the local site supervisor, who will give you direction and assign your workload.
This position will work directly with our contracted Data Center Technicians and Senior Critical Infrastructure Technicians who are responsible for all critical power and cooling activities, to ensure SLA's and KPI's are met. This position will also work with LinkedIn full time engineers as points of escalation.
