Conventus Holdings Corporation is seeking an Associate, Credit to review bridge loans and assess credit risk. The role focuses on collateral value, borrower experience, and transaction diligence in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate has 2–5 years of real estate due diligence or lending experience and strong organizational and problem-solving skills. This position offers a hybrid in-office / remote schedule with in-office work four days a week in San Francisco or New York.

Qualifications

  • 2-5 years of lending-related experience (prior real estate private lending experience a plus).
  • Real estate valuation experience (single-family and multifamily).

Responsibilities

  • Analyze the value of residential investment properties before and after renovation/construction.
  • Review borrower experience and ability to execute on proposed projects.
  • Proactively identify key risks and take action to mitigate them, ensuring Conventus’ strong loan performance.
  • Conduct research on real estate markets to provide a holistic view of target markets and submarkets.
  • Complete transaction diligence to reduce fraud risk.
  • Make recommendations on loan structuring to senior Credit team members.
  • Review and analyze third-party valuations for accuracy and submit disputes as needed.
  • Support a positive and collaborative working environment, with flexibility and willingness to participate in process improvements and strategic growth initiatives.
  • Communicate in a time-sensitive manner with Sales, Operations, Servicing, and Capital Markets teams regarding suitability and risk of live and funded loans.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of investor guidelines and policies.
  • Provide feedback to improve the underwriting process.Comply with all company policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Undertake ad hoc projects to help improve the team and business.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Associate, Credit Analysis to join our team. This person will review bridge loans to assess credit risk and make recommendations on loan structure. The credit review of these loans involves an in-depth analysis of collateral value, borrower experience and creditworthiness, and transaction diligence.

The ideal candidate should have 2-5 yrs real estate due diligence or transaction experience, be detail-oriented, highly organized, and have a genuine desire to go the extra mile for our customers. This is a fast-paced role in an ever-changing environment, so the ability to be flexible and adaptable is key to success. LOCATION: San Francisco, CA or New York, NY

Required 4 days per week in the office (Mon-Thrus), Fridays are remote.
