Blue Hour Studios, an Horizon Media affiliate, seeks an Associate Creative Director who independently concepting and executing innovative ideas across film, digital, social, and IRL experiences while mentoring junior staff and collaborating across disciplines.

Based in New York, NY, this hybrid role leads creative development from concept to production, steers the visual direction, and ensures work meets client briefs and creative standards.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in creative and content production for brands within an agency or brand environment.
• Portfolio featuring branded content and advertising work for brands.
• Fluency in Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere, Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects)
• Fluency in presentation and slide design in Google Slides, PowerPoint, and Keynote
• Fluency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel preferred)
• Superior attention to detail and a highly collaborative nature
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to convey ideas and direction

Responsibilities

• Apply deep knowledge of social platforms, evolving algorithms, and audience behaviors to uncover insights and new ways to engage communities
• Lead creative development from concept to execution for ideas spanning film, digital, social, and IRL experiences
• Mentor and manage junior and mid level creatives through close collaboration
• Steer the visual direction of productions to ensure a cohesive look and feel, overseeing details that align with the creative vision
• Demonstrate a proven track record of owning creative across pre-production, production, and post, collaborating with clients, creators, influencers, and production partners
• Partner with leadership to evolve creative workflows, establish quality standards, and identify new tools or AI-driven technologies to keep the team’s craft future-ready
• Foster an inclusive, innovative culture that encourages experimentation and curiosity
