Associate Creative Director (Art)

Our client, PUSH 22, is a boutique advertising agency focused on innovative thinking and groundbreaking creative development. They are seeking a creative visionary passionate about pushing the boundaries of graphic design and art direction. If color, typography, imagery, and style excite you; and branding and visual communications are your expertise, this is the role for you! A high taste level, collaborative spirit, and a brand-first mentality are essential. This position will serve as a brand ambassador internally and externally for PUSH 22’s clients and their brands.

The ACD reports to the CD and collaborates with the broader creative and account management teams. They will also coach and mentor junior team members. Responsibilities include working from briefs to conceptualize various project deliverables across digital, social, ambient media, and print, such as websites, social media content, presentation decks, brand campaigns, and event materials.

This role involves both the design and production of creative elements and active contribution to concept development. Emphasis is placed on building files to specifications using best practices, maintaining organization according to team standards. The ideal candidate will develop and maintain fluency with clients’ brands and stay updated on the latest tools and trends.

Requirements:

  • Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in color theory, design principles, including typography, composition, hierarchy, iconography, and imagery.
  • Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or related field; 4-10 years of design experience in marketing environments, including 3+ years in an agency setting, with knowledge of brand marketing and creative strategies.
  • Experience with digital communication tools (task management systems, cloud storage, chat, etc.).
  • Understanding of asset governance best practices and creative operations.
  • Excellent visual, verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Mastery of Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Adobe XD, and familiarity with After Effects and Premiere. Ability to adapt designs for Microsoft Word and PowerPoint templates and documents.
  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS, CMS, and email editors.
  • Experience designing event and large-format signage.
  • Ability to communicate creative concepts clearly to individuals unfamiliar with design terminology.
  • Proven ability to collaborate and build trust with team members of varying skill levels.
