Description

This role will serve as product counsel for strategic initiatives related to Amazon Leo’s products and services. You will be responsible for counseling Amazon Leo’s product, marketing, engineering, compliance, and operations teams on a wide range of issues across our business. You will work directly with the business to handle legal issues in business-centric ways and develop processes that address risk while allowing the business flexibility and freedom to quickly develop products and services that prioritize and delight our customers.

Export Control Requirement: Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

You’ll engage with product, marketing, engineering, and operations teams, translating intricate legal requirements into actionable strategies that accelerate our mission of global connectivity.

About The Team

Amazon Leo’s legal team is a collaborative group of commercial and technology attorneys supporting the development and expansion of next-generation satellite connectivity solutions. The team works closely with business leaders, engineers, product teams, and global partners to navigate complex legal and commercial challenges while enabling innovation at global scale.

Basic Qualifications
  • 2+ years of post bar admission legal experience
  • Juris Doctor and membership in one state bar or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience of a mix of corporate law firm and in-house work
  • Experience in reviewing, drafting, and negotiating commercial contracts
  • Experience in managing multiple, competing priorities simultaneously
  • Experience advising on product launches, including privacy, marketing, and regulatory compliance across multiple jurisdictions
  • Knowledge of telecommunications, satellite, or broadband regulatory frameworks (e.g., FCC, ITU, or international equivalents) a plus
  • Experience counseling engineering and product teams on data privacy, consumer protection, and compliance matters in a technology-driven organization

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
