About the Role

Weber Shandwick is seeking a curious, creative, and collaborative Associate to join our team in Atlanta, GA. This role is on our Corporate team, part of Weber Advisory—a unit delivering trusted, agile C-suite counsel by blending communications expertise with cultural insights to accelerate stakeholder and organizational value. This role will focus on executing communications, reputation and earned media strategies for corporate, advocacy and public sector clients at the intersection of business, policy, media and culture. You will be a vital engine for our account teams, driving projects forward from ideation to execution while helping bring to life the best in-culture ideas.

This position will be based in our Atlanta office on a hybrid schedule.

You are detail-oriented and have a knack for organization, coupled with a deep interest in delivering an exceptional client experience. You are a fast learner and a proactive communicator who thrives in a fast-paced environment.

What You’ll Do
  • Content Development: Draft high-quality, strategic written materials, including press releases, op-eds, messaging frameworks, executive briefing documents, and social media copy.
  • Media Relations & Strategy: Proactively monitor the media landscape, build and maintain targeted media lists, draft compelling pitches, and conduct outreach to reporters across business, policy, and trade publications.
  • Event Planning & Activations: Support the logistics, vendor coordination, and execution of events and brand experiences, ensuring every physical detail aligns with the broader campaign strategy.
  • Strategic Ideation:Actively participate in team brainstorms, bringing fresh, culturally resonant ideas to the table to advance client priorities.
  • Client Experience & Account Support:Support account management by coordinating team and client meetings, developing status reports, and helping to manage and track deadlines.
What You’ll Bring

Basic Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of experience in communications or public relations.
  • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with the ability to translate corporate priorities into clear, compelling narratives for broad audiences.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
  • Collaboration & Teamwork: A proven ability to collaborate seamlessly with colleagues, clients, and agency partners, bringing positive energy and serving as a highly reliable partner.
  • Proactivity & Agility: A self-starter mentality with the ability to anticipate needs before they arise, manage multiple projects under tight deadlines, and maintain a positive, solutions-oriented attitude.
  • Detail-Oriented: A strict commitment to delivering flawless, precise, and accurate work—whether it’s a client-facing strategy deck, a storytelling narrative, or a quick Teams message, or a minute‑by‑minute event run-of-show.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong foundational skills in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. (Experience with media databases and social tracking tools is a plus).

Salary range: $50,000 – $55,000 USD

Omnicom’s policy requires employees to work in the office for a minimum of three days a week, unless additional in-office days are directed by their agency or manager. Our objective is to increase this requirement over time, and many of our agencies as well as Omnicom’s corporate group already require five days of in-office attendance.
