Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory (PPPL) seeks an Associate Computational Scientist to advance modeling and physics research for low-temperature plasmas using HPC, ML, and surrogate models. The role emphasizes development of LTP-PIC, collaboration with academia and industry, and dissemination of results.

Required are a Ph.D. in a relevant field, strong HPC experience, and proficiency in Python, NumPy, and PyTorch.

Formación

• Ph.D. in Physics, Engineering or related field with core training in low-temperature plasma physics and HPC.
• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in an academic, scientific, or R&D environment is preferred.
• Proven track record of publishing original results in peer-reviewed journals.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain and develop the LTP-PIC software and assist users (academic and industrial).
• Define and deliver AI projects for low-temperature plasmas.
• Model low-pressure discharges for industry partners.
• Publish scientific results at major international conferences.
