Job summary

Live Oak Bank in Wilmington, NC seeks an Associate Compliance Analyst to support Regulatory Relations and Compliance functions, coordinating examinations, managing complaints, and maintaining regulatory records.

This role partners with Legal and business units, regulators, and auditors to facilitate timely responses, document workflows, and provide administrative and analytical support across compliance programs.

Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of experience in Banking Operations, Compliance, Regulatory Relations, Risk Management, Audit, Regulatory Affairs, or related field.
  • Prior banking or financial services experience.
  • Required to be located in Wilmington, NC.
  • Work Sponsorship is not supported, now or in the future.

How This Role Impacts Live Oak and its People

The Associate Compliance Analyst provides operational, administrative, and analytical support to the Regulatory Relations and Compliance functions. This role coordinates regulatory examinations, manages complaint administration and reporting activities, maintains regulatory records, and supports department-wide processes. The position serves as a key coordination point between regulators, business units, Legal, and Compliance to promote timely resolution of requests, concerns, and regulatory matters.

What You’ll Do at Live Oak
Regulatory Relations Support
  • Coordinate and maintain examiner contact lists and examination rosters.
  • Facilitate examiner access to applicable bank systems and platforms in accordance with established access management procedures.
  • Coordinate facility access for regulators, including visitor registration, badge issuance, and access tracking.
  • Reserve conference rooms and coordinate on-site examination logistics.
  • Assist with scheduling and logistical support related to regulatory examinations and reviews.
  • Serve as a point of contact for administrative matters associated with business units.
  • Coordinate and track regulatory information requests, including collection, organization, and follow-up of requested documentation.
  • Assist in preparation of examination materials, management responses, and post-examination documentation as directed.
Complaint Management and Regulatory Complaint Oversight
  • Administer the day-to-day operations of the Bank's complaint management program - intake, review, and maintain records of all customer complaints.
  • Ensure proper submission of concerns and coordinate resolution outcomes with applicable business units. Coordinate activities related to less complex matters.
  • Draft and coordinate responses to regulatory complaints, including those received through agencies such as the FDIC, CFPB, Better Business Bureau, and other oversight organizations.
  • Collaborate with Legal and business stakeholders regarding complaint investigations and resolutions.
  • Monitor complaint metrics, aging reports, and response timelines.
  • Conduct initial trend analysis to identify potential: UDAAP risks, Fair Banking concerns, Fair Lending risks, operational and customer experience issues, emerging regulatory concerns requiring escalation
  • Maintain internal issue-tracking mechanisms for non-regulatory concerns identified through complaint reviews.
Vendor Management and Department Administration
  • Process and manage vendor invoices for the Compliance and BSA departments.
  • Maintain tracking of departmental budget and expense monitoring.
  • Create and manage requisitions and purchase orders.
  • Coordinate vendor onboarding activities through approved vendor management systems.
  • Support contract renewals and ongoing vendor oversight processes.
  • Maintain records associated with vendor relationships and departmental expenditures.
Additional Compliance Support
  • Assist with compliance reporting and monitoring activities.
  • Supporting compliance examinations, audits, and internal reviews through administrative and documentation-related tasks.
  • Monitor regulatory change management feed and assist with initial routing, tracking, and documentation of regulatory developments.
  • Other duties as assigned
Required Experience
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in Banking Operations, Compliance, Regulatory Relations, Risk Management, Audit, Regulatory Affairs, or a related field
  • Prior banking or financial services experience
  • Required to be located in Wilmington, NC
  • Work Sponsorship is not supported, now or in the future
Preferred Experience
  • Experience with banking compliance regulations, customer service/complaint management
