First Interstate Bank in Madras, OR is seeking an Associate Community Banker who delivers personalized client service by engaging with clients and prospects to determine needs and offer appropriate banking solutions.
You will open and maintain consumer and basic business accounts, perform teller transactions, and participate in cross‑selling referrals while aligning with our Service Commitments and company values.
This position is located at our Madras, OR branch.

The Associate Community Banker delivers personalized client service by holding financial conversations with clients and prospects to determine their needs and provide appropriate solutions. This position is responsible maintaining client relationships, with emphasis on First Interstate Bank's Service Commitments and in accordance with our vision and values.

Demonstrates strong attention to detail and the ability to follow verbal and written instructions while maintaining confidentiality. Maintains working knowledge of digital platforms, CRM systems, and emerging technologies. Able to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Able to write simple correspondence. Able to effectively present information in one-on-one and small-group situations to clients and other employees of the organization. Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Able to compute rates and percentages and draw and interpret bar graphs. Able to apply common-sense understanding to carry out detailed but uncomplicated written or oral instructions. Able to solve problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. Demonstrates timely completion of work and adjusts to workload demands to meet expected deadlines. Produces complete and accurate work, displaying pride and professionalism in all tasks. Takes personal initiative and serves as a positive example for others to follow.
