Qualifications

• 0–2 years of technical experience in physical security or 1–3 years as field technician.
• Basic understanding of access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection.
• Basic understanding of network protocols and system integration.
• Genetec Certification (OTC 001).
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.

Responsibilities

• Configure access control devices, cameras, and system components per design specifications.
• Follow established procedures to ensure consistent system setup.

SUMMARY

They prioritize meticulous documentation, troubleshoot basic technical issues, and provide training to end-users. Collaborating closely with clients, project teams, and colleagues, the engineer ensures a successful commissioning process in adherence to Prime standards.

• - System Configuration:
• - Configure access control devices, cameras, and system components per design specifications and direction.
• - Follow established procedures to ensure consistent system setup.
• - System Verification & Testing:
• - Execute validation tests on devices and integrations.
• - Verify field installations align with drawings and scope of work.
• - Identify basic deficiencies and correct them where appropriate.
• - Documentation:
• - Complete commissioning documentation accurately and on time.
• - Upload records into company documentation platform.
• - Customer Interaction:
• - Provide basic end-user instruction on system operation as directed.
• - Troubleshooting:
• - Resolve routine configuration issues and escalated advanced problems appropriately.

Qualifications and Experience:

• - A minimum of 0-2 years of technical experience preferably in physical security systems or 1-3 years field technician experience preferably in physical security systems.
• - Basic Understanding of access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection, and related technologies.
• - Basic Understanding of network protocols and system integration.
• - Problem-solving and analytical skills.
• - Genetec Certification (OTC 001).
• - Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.

• - Minimum 12 months of service time in the Associate role required before promotion eligibility to Commissioning Engineer.

Additional Notes:

• - Probationary period of 90 days.
• - Individuals with a felony or misdemeanor convictions MAY not be hired.
• - Individuals must not have any alcohol or drug-related convictions or suspensions within the past three years.
• - Individual must be able to read and understand instructions in English as well as possess good oral & written communication skills.
• - Individual must be able to pass a drug and physical screening as well as background requirements.
