Job summary

Zimmer Biomet’s Paragon 28 unit seeks an Associate Clinical Engineer to drive patient-specific design of 3D-printed implants and tools. You will transform imaging data into patient-matched devices while collaborating with surgeons to meet exact clinical requirements.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s in mechanical or biomedical engineering, with 0–2 years in medical device design, and proficiency in Solidworks and 3D modeling. Occasional travel may occur as part of the role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or related engineering discipline.
• Entry level, 0-2 years of clinical or medical device design experience.
• Proficient in 3D design software and able to visualize objects in 3D.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end design process for custom, 3D-printed medical implants and instruments.
• Review and refine virtual surgical plans and intricate guide designs.
• Maintain direct communication with surgeons to ensure designs meet clinical needs.
• Review medical imaging and plan surgical procedures.
• Create detailed reports and documentation from projects.
