The Clinton Health Access Initiative, Inc. (CHAI) is a global health organization founded in 2002 to reduce the cost of life‑saving drugs and expand access in low‑ and middle‑income countries. Being invited by governments, CHAI partners with the private sector to strengthen high‑quality health systems. Over the past two decades the organization has broadened its focus beyond HIV to include COVID‑19, malaria, tuberculosis, hepatitis, non‑communicable diseases, vaccines, maternal and child health, chronic malnutrition and assistive technology, while investing in human resources, digital health and health financing.
WJCF, CHAI’s India affiliate, works on key health initiatives under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. In response to climate change, WJCF is launching a strategic initiative to improve access to affordable, energy‑efficient cooling. The program seeks to mitigate health risks from extreme heat, reduce greenhouse‑gas emissions, and strengthen climate resilience of health systems.
Associate – Climate & Health reports to the Lead – Climate & Cooling. The Associate will define strategy and implementation for WJCF’s Climate×Health initiatives, collaborating with internal and external partners and representing WJCF at relevant fora.
