Job summary

The Baldwin Group is seeking an Associate Client Manager for the Small Business Unit – Innovation Practice. This role focuses on forming strong relationships with Insurance Company Partners and clients, delivering risk management recommendations, and coordinating renewals and endorsements.

You will analyze complex risk exposures, work cross-functionally, and ensure timely, accurate policy activity. A Property & Casualty license is required or pursued within the first 90 days when possible.

Qualifications

• Ability to forge relationships with key insurance markets and carrier representatives.
• Strong technical knowledge of general insurance market conditions and underwriting appetites.
• Ability to analyze complex risk exposures, existing insurance coverages, and develop recommendations.
• Ability to work as part of a team of professionals and build relationships with other Firm business segments.
• Obtain and maintain a Property and Casualty state insurance license or other state insurance license(s).

Responsibilities

• Gather information and risk management recommendations for renewals and deliver renewals/binders as needed.
• Manage policy activity including endorsements and invoicing.
• Respond to quotes, changes to coverage, and new policies.
• Review accounts to determine additional lines of insurance to solicit before renewal.
• Cultivate relationships with Insurance Company Partners and understand carrier requirements.
• Identify improvements for the firm and its processes.

Determines acceptability and placement, completes applications or endorsements, and collects premium when applicable.* Reviews existing accounts to determine if additional lines of insurance should be solicited and does so by mail and/or phone prior to renewal.* Cultivates strong relationships with Insurance Company Partners and is responsible for knowing carrier requirements and attributes.* Looks for opportunities to improve the firm, business segment and processes.
