Eurofins Environment Testing (USA) is seeking an Associate Chemist for HRMS Prep on the 2nd shift (Sun-Thu, 3pm-11:30pm). Training will be on the 1st shift, Mon-Fri. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or related field and professional proficiency in English.

Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship is required. The position involves GMP/GLP adherence, sample prep and analysis, data review, and routine QC.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, or other related degree concentration.
• Professional working proficiency in English, including reading, writing and speaking.
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Performs prep/analysis of samples for various analytical methods.
• Analyze/prep samples and QC for routine testing.
• Review, work up, and assemble all supporting data for work performed.
• Perform basic maintenance on equipment used for routine work.
• Read, understand, and carry out SOPs required by EPA or company methods.
• Prepare standard solutions and other reagents as needed.
• Use word processor and spreadsheet programs on PC.
• Dispose of chemical wastes using approved methods.
• Conduct all activities in a safe and efficient manner.
• Work overtime as workload requires.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Applies GMP/GLP in all areas of responsibility, as appropriate
• Demonstrates and promotes the company vision
• Regular attendance and punctuality
• Perform prep/analysis of samples of various matrices for various analytical methods
• Analyze/prep samples and QC for routine testing
• Review, work up, and assemble all supporting data for work performed

• Read, understand, and carry out SOPs required by EPA or company methods, governing agencies, clients, and our internal QC department
• Prepare standard solutions and other reagents as needed
• Use word processor and spreadsheet programs on PC
• Dispose of all chemical wastes using approved methods
• Conducts all activities in a safe and efficient manner
• Performs other duties as assigned
• Work overtime as workload requires

This is 2nd Shift, Sun-Thurs, 3pm-1130pm. Training will be M-F 1st shift

Basic Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, or other related degree concentration
• Professional working proficiency in English is a requirement, including the ability to read, write and speak in English.
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship

The ideal candidate would possess:

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry
• Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies

Pay rate:$18/hour + 10% shift differential
