Job summary

Eurofins Scientific in Lancaster, PA is seeking an Associate Chemist for HRMS and environment testing on the 2nd shift (Tue-Sat, 3pm-11:30pm). Training will be on the 1st shift, Mon-Fri, 7:00am-3:30pm for 3–6 months.

Responsibilities include applying GMP/GLP, preparing samples, analyzing data, following SOPs, maintaining equipment, and disposing of chemical wastes safely; overtime may be required.

• Prepare standard solutions and reagents
• Use word processing and spreadsheet programs on PC
• Dispose of chemical wastes using approved methods
• Work overtime as workload requires

Job Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Analyze/prep samples and QC for routine testing
• Review, work up, and assemble all supporting data for work performed
• Perform basic maintenance on equipment used for routine work
• Read, understand, and carry out SOPs required by EPA or company methods, governing agencies, clients, and our internal QC department
• Prepare standard solutions and other reagents as needed
• Use word processor and spreadsheet programs on PC
• Dispose of all chemical wastes using approved methods
• Conducts all activities in a safe and efficient manner
• Performs other duties as assigned
• Work overtime as workload requires

This position is 2nd Shift, 3pm-11:30pm Tues-Sat. Training will be 1st Shift, 7:00am-3:30pm M-F for approximately 3-6 months.
