Job summary

Eurofins Environment Testing USA is seeking a full-time lab technician for the 2nd shift (2:00 PM–11:30 PM) with training first on days. The role involves prep and analysis of samples using standard EPA/compliant methods, data review, and routine QC.

Applicants should have a chemistry/biology degree, strong English skills, and US work authorization. We offer comprehensive full-time benefits and a compensation range consistent with industry norms.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform prep/analysis of samples for various analytical methods.
• ∑ Analyze/prep samples and QC for routine testing.
• Review and assemble supporting data for work performed.
• Conduct basic maintenance on equipment used for routine work.
• Follow SOPs required by EPA, company methods and QC department.
• Prepare standard solutions and reagents as needed.
• Use word processors and spreadsheets on PC.
• Dispose of chemical wastes using approved methods.
• Ensure safety and efficiency in all activities.

Job Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Applies GMP/GLP in all areas of responsibility, as appropriate
• Demonstrates and promotes the company vision
• Regular attendance and punctuality
• Perform prep/analysis of samples of various matrices for various analytical methods
• Analyze/prep samples and QC for routine testingReview, work up, and assemble all supporting data for work performed
• Perform basic maintenance on equipment used for routine work
• Read, understand, and carry out SOPs required by EPA or company methods, governing agencies, clients, and our internal QC department
• Prepare standard solutions and other reagents as needed
• Use word processor and spreadsheet programs on PC
• Dispose of all chemical wastes using approved methods
• Conducts all activities in a safe and efficient manner
• Performs other duties as assigned

This position is full-time, 2nd Shift, M-F 3pm -11:30pm. Training will be M-F, 7am-3:30pm.

Qualifications

Basic Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Biology, or related field. Equivalent relevant experience may substitute for degree.
• Professional working proficiency in English is a requirement, including the ability to read, write and speak in English.
• Authorization to work in the United States without restriction or sponsorship

Ideal Candidates Will Have

• BS in Chemistry, with some analytical Chemistry classes
• Previous lab experience is a plus
• Experience with instrumentation is a plus, including LC/MS or GC/MS
• Environmental Science coursework or experience is a plus, but is not required

Additional Information

Pay rate: $18-19/hour + 10% shift differential.
