Job summary

Eurofins Scientific is seeking an Associate Chemist for Environment Testing on LC/MS, 2nd shift (M-F, 3 pm–11:30 pm) with training first. The role requires a B.S. in Chemistry or related field, English proficiency, and US work authorization.

The candidate will perform sample prep/analysis, QC data, and adhere to EPA SOPs while using standard analytical instruments. Ideal candidates have LC/MS or GC/MS experience, lab familiarity, and a willingness to learn in a safety-conscious environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, or related field; equivalent experience may substitute.
• Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• US work authorization without sponsorship/restriction.

Responsibilities

• Perform sample prep and analysis for various matrices using analytical methods.
• Analyze and QC routine samples; review and assemble supporting data.
• Read, understand, and implement SOPs required by EPA or internal QC.
• Prepare standard solutions and reagents; use PC software for data handling.
• Maintain equipment and dispose of chemical waste per approved methods.

Associate Chemist - Environment Testing - LC/MS - 2nd Shift M-F

• Compensation: USD 18 - USD 20.9 - hourly

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Applies GMP/GLP in all areas of responsibility, as appropriate
• Demonstrates and promotes the company vision
• Regular attendance and punctuality
• Perform prep/analysis of samples of various matrices for various analytical methods
• Analyze/prep samples and QC for routine testing
• Review, work up, and assemble all supporting data for work performed
• Perform basic maintenance on equipment used for routine work
• Read, understand, and carry out SOPs required by EPA or company methods, governing agencies, clients, and our internal QC department
• Prepare standard solutions and other reagents as needed
• Use word processor and spreadsheet programs on PC
• Dispose of all chemical wastes using approved methods
• Conducts all activities in a safe and efficient manner
• Performs other duties as assigned

This position is full-time, 2nd Shift, M-F 3pm -11:30pm. Training will be M-F, 7am-3:30pm.

Basic Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Biology, or related field. Equivalent relevant experience may substitute for degree.
• Professional working proficiency in English is a requirement, including the ability to read, write and speak in English.
• Authorization to work in the United States without restriction or sponsorship

Ideal Candidates will have:

• BS in Chemistry, with some analytical Chemistry classes
• Previous lab experience is a plus
• Experience with instrumentation is a plus, including LC/MS or GC/MS
• Environmental Science coursework or experience is a plus, but is not required

Pay rate: $18-19/hour + 10% shift differential

Please note - Eurofins Environment Testing (USA) provides a compensation range for informational purposes, the actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience and skill set, base salary of internal peers, business sector, and geographic location.
