Bayer is seeking an Associate Cell Culture Scientist in Berkeley, CA. You will develop and optimize cell culture and bioprocess steps for mAb and cell therapy, working to ensure robust, scalable manufacturing and seamless transfers from lab to production.
You will contribute to interdisciplinary project teams, document results thoroughly, and perform under GMP guidelines to support clinical and commercial manufacturing.

As an Associate Cell Culture Scientist, you develop and optimize chemical and biological processes to enhance yield, quality, and cost; you contribute to process transfers from laboratory to production (scale‑up) to ensure robust, commercially viable manufacturing; you provide technical expertise and rapid troubleshooting to maintain competitive production processes while ensuring compliance with internal and external regulations; you manage and develop laboratory technicians, maintain accurate technical documentation, and participate in interdisciplinary project teams supporting mAb and cell therapy development from early‑stage research through clinical and commercial manufacturing.
Employees can expect to be paid a salary between $79,920.00 - $119,880.00. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant). Additional benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave, etc.
This salary range is merely an estimate and may vary based on an applicant’s location, market data/ranges, an applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications, and other relevant factors.
