Job summary

Golden Touch is seeking an Associate CAD Graphic Artist / Textile to support high-volume junior collections in a fast-paced environment, delivering production-ready graphics and CADs at scale.

You will create placement graphics, CAD colorways, and production-ready artwork including prints, embroideries, trims, and hangtags, collaborating with Design, Sales, Product Development and overseas vendors.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience using the Adobe Creative Suite in a high-volume fashion studio or company.
• Advanced proficiency in Illustrator and Photoshop with focus on digital surface design and CAD development.
• Strong understanding of color, print, textile trends for junior market.
• Excellent organization and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Create original artwork for high-volume junior collections, focusing on placement graphics, prints and color fills.
• Develop CADs in multiple colorways and sizes, recoloring artwork and adapting prints per direction.
• Create production-ready patterns and artwork: florals, plaids, embroideries, screen prints, yarn dyes, trims, labels, hangtags.
• Prepare artwork for production, including index/color separations for rotary and screen printing.
• Produce accurate, production-ready artwork, pitch sheets and technical files for factory tech packs.
• Ensure artwork meets mill/vendor specs for color, scale, repeat and production requirements.
• Assist with sending new and revised artwork files to overseas vendors and mills.
• Enter and maintain artwork data in PLM system and collaborate with Design and Sales.

Description

We are seeking a talented Associate CAD Graphic Artist / Textile to support a high-volume junior business. This role is highly collaborative and fast-paced, requiring the ability to manage multiple seasons and customers simultaneously while delivering creative, production-ready graphics and CADs at scale. The ideal candidate brings strong digital surface design expertise, a sharp eye for color and trend, and the ability to balance creativity with cost, quality, and technical execution requirements in a high-volume environment.

Responsibilities

• Create original, innovative artwork for high-volume junior collections, with a primary focus on placement graphics, prints, and filling sketches with print and solid color.
• Develop CADs in multiple colorways and various sizes, including recoloring artwork and modifying existing prints based on customer needs, seasonal direction, and color trends.
• Create production-ready patterns and artwork, including florals, plaids, conversational prints, embroideries, screen print graphics, yarn dyes, trims, labels, and hangtags as needed.
• Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of textile and apparel printing techniques, including rotary, screen print, digital, sublimation, embroidery, embellishment, woven plaids, and various dye treatments.
• Prepare artwork for production, including index/color separations for rotary and screen printing.
• Produce precise, accurate, production-ready artwork, pitch sheets, and technical files for factory tech packs and mill/vendor production.
• Ensure artwork meets mill and vendor requirements and is accurate in color, scale, placement, repeat, and other technical and production specifications.
• Assist with sending new and revised artwork files to overseas vendors and mills, ensuring files and supporting information are accurate and complete.
• Enter and maintain artwork and related data within the PLM system.
• Partner closely with Apparel Design to research, pull, and interpret print, graphic, textile, and trend inspiration.
• Collaborate closely with Design, Sales, Product Development, and overseas vendors to incorporate feedback, address customer needs, and ensure artwork aligns with product and production requirements.
• Apply a creative yet cost-conscious approach to graphic execution, selecting appropriate techniques and artwork solutions to meet strategic price-point targets.
• Research emerging print, color, textile, and graphic trends and maintain a strong pulse on global design inspiration relevant to the junior/young women’s market.
• Demonstrate a strong understanding of fashion, textile trends, color direction, and pop culture and translate relevant trends into commercially appropriate artwork.
• Maintain a well-organized digital artwork library across multiple brands, seasons, customers, and programs.
• Manage multiple projects, seasons, customers, and priorities simultaneously while meeting critical deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Support the team with artwork revisions and additional graphic needs throughout the product development and production process.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience using the Adobe Creative Suite within a high-volume, detail-oriented studio or fashion company.
• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, with a strong focus on digital surface design and CAD development.
• Strong technical understanding of textile and apparel printing techniques, including rotary, screen print, digital, sublimation, embroidery, embellishment, woven plaids, and dye treatments.
• Experience creating production-ready artwork, including print repeats, color separations, colorways, scale adjustments, and technical files for production.
• Strong understanding of color, print, pattern, textile, and fashion trends, particularly within the junior/young women’s market.
• Strong eye for color and the ability to translate seasonal color direction and customer requirements into commercially relevant artwork.
• Experience working with PLM systems and preparing/sending artwork to overseas mills and vendors preferred.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across Design, Sales, Product Development, and external vendors.
• Strong understanding of production requirements, technical specifications, and the importance of accuracy in color, scale, and artwork execution.

Hybrid Work Schedule

4 days a week in the office, Fridays at home

New York Pay Rate $55,000 - $65,000
