Job summary

Spencer's is seeking an Associate Buyer to manage purchasing and inventory for designated departments, driving sales and profitability through collaboration with internal teams and external partners.

You will curate assortments, ensure timely deliveries, and analyze sales performance, while identifying new products and trends and guiding junior buyers. Occasional travel to stores and vendor locations supports relationship building and category growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher required.
• 5+ years experience and/or training, or equivalent.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Build, create & manage merchandise assortments aligned with market and consumer trends.
• Analyze weekly sales and item performance to drive sales and margin.
• Prepare merchandise and reports for weekly team meetings.
• Manage product lifecycle from PO through markdowns and discards.
• Travel to store locations to review product mix and gather feedback.
