Job summary

Google is seeking a strategic BizOps leader to own problem definition and run analyses across product areas, communicating recommendations to executives and building consensus for execution. You will work with cross-functional teams and product leaders to shape strategic initiatives and operationalize recommendations.

The role focuses on driving strategic, operational, and organizational improvements within Google's BizOps group, influencing how the company goes-to-market with AI and shaping

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 3 years of experience in management consulting or other equivalent business strategy experience.
• 3 years of experience at a management consulting firm.
• Experience in strategy or in a business operations environment.
• Experience working on complex operational and strategic initiatives.
• Experience in tech, media, a telecom company, or education in STEM.
• Excellent problem-solving, modeling, and presentation skills.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.

• Structure complex and ambiguous business issues for Google executive team.
• Gather and analyze large amounts of information quickly and problem solve effectively.
• Develop compelling and insightful recommendations.
• Build consensus among cross-functional teams and influence decision-making within leadership audiences.

About The Job

The central Business Operations and Strategy team drives strategic, operational, and organizational improvements across the company’s product areas and functions. The team, also known as BizOps, operates like an internal consulting group working on a range of critical projects and issues.

Google's leadership team hand-picks thorny business challenges, and members of Business Operations (BizOps) work in small teams to find solutions. These include shaping how we go to market with generative AI, defining and executing our strategy on company‑wide priorities like transforming Google into the world’s first AI‑native enterprise, developing monetization strategies across our consumer and B2B products, and exploring “moonshots” to find the next big idea. BizOps is at the forefront of Google's fast‑moving strategic priorities, addressing operational challenges and enabling innovation.

In this role, you will own the problem definition, run your own workstreams/analyses, and become the expert on key topics/data. You will persuasively communicate your recommendations to executives, and influence strategic decisions by building consensus and mobilizing towards execution.
