Job summary

Farm Credit of the Virginias seeks an Associate Business Analyst to join a collaborative, data-driven team based in Harrisonburg or Staunton, VA. From day one, you’ll gather, analyze, and interpret data to drive business performance across lending, marketing, finance, HR, IT, operations, and compliance.

You’ll build predictive models and dashboards using Tableau and Power BI, turning insights into actionable recommendations for leaders and supporting strategic initiatives across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associate's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• Experience with data analysis, statistics, and BI concepts.
• Working knowledge of SQL, R, Tableau, Power BI, or similar tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
• Ability to interpret data and draw meaningful conclusions within a business context.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with diverse audiences.
• Strong interpersonal skills and cross-department collaboration.
• Knowledge of analytics technologies and best practices is preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Perform analytics supporting enterprise initiatives focused on growth and operational excellence.
• Gather, process, analyze, and interpret data from multiple sources to identify trends and risks.
• Develop predictive models and forecasting tools for proactive decision-making.
• Create data visualizations and dashboards using Tableau and Power BI.
• Partner with lending, marketing, finance, HR, IT, operations, and compliance to deliver data-driven solutions.
• Translate complex data analyses into actionable recommendations for leaders.
• Support development and maintenance of reports meeting organizational needs.
• Ensure data quality, integrity, and consistency for accurate reporting.
• Participate in professional development to enhance analytical and business knowledge.
• Support ad hoc reporting and analytical projects.
