A growing lower-middle-market private equity firm is expanding its team and seeking an Associate | Business Analyst to support investment analysis, portfolio management, business development, and internal operations.

This is a broad, high-visibility role designed for someone who enjoys working across multiple areas of a business rather than staying in one narrow lane. You’ll work directly with firm leadership and gain exposure to acquisitions, portfolio company performance, financial analysis, sourcing, and the development of AI-enabled workflows that improve how the firm operates. Seeking 1-3 years experience in a professional office setting.

What You’ll Do

• Build and maintain financial models and analyze potential acquisition opportunities.
• Review financial statements, operating performance, valuations, and investment opportunities.
• Support financial, commercial, and operational due diligence.
• Assist with investment memoranda, presentations, and other decision-making materials.
• Track portfolio company performance and support portfolio management reporting.
• Research industries, acquisition targets, and market consolidation opportunities.
• Help manage the deal pipeline, CRM, market maps, and sourcing activity.
• Work with founders, business owners, bankers, advisors, lenders, and other external partners.
• Build and implement AI-enabled workflows, tools, and templates to automate research, analysis, reporting, and other repeatable processes.
• Identify opportunities to improve internal processes and reduce manual work.
• Take ownership of special projects as the firm continues to grow.

What We’re Looking For

• 1–3 years of professional experience, ideally within investment banking or management/strategy consulting.
• Transaction advisory, accounting, private equity, or another highly analytical background may also be considered.
• Strong financial analysis skills with the ability to work through financial statements and financial models.
• Experience supporting business analysis, investment analysis, or portfolio/company performance.
• AI-fluent and comfortable incorporating AI tools into day-to-day workflows.
• Interest in building repeatable processes and using technology to work more efficiently.
• Resourceful, analytical, and comfortable operating in a fast-moving environment with limited bureaucracy.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with executives, founders, investors, and advisors.
