Qualifications

  • Maintains a valid Property/Casualty License.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of proven experience.

What the day will look like

  • Accountable for routine support activities to brokers and senior brokers with defined deadlines, related to renewal strategy documents, proposals, submissions along with data analysis for the placement of insurance solutions.
  • May facilitate and/or participate in client/broker strategy meetings.
  • May send requests for quotations to the insurance carriers with opportunities to negotiate programs.
  • Manages daily work within established guidelines and receives general instructions on newly introduced assignments.
  • Assists with the processing of policy and related documents.
  • Provides support to the account management process, when appropriate.
  • With minimal mentorship and supervision, identifies and analyzes client exposures and determines which markets to utilize, ensuring detailed evaluation of qualified companies in the marketplace.

How this opportunity is different

The primary function is to assist senior team members with the marketing of placements as well as supporting clients with their property risk management. The Associate Broker works closely with Producers, Account Executives, Senior Brokers, and clients to understand client’s needs.

Skills and experience that will lead to success

  • Thorough knowledge of Property and Casualty insurance marketplace including products and services.
  • Maintains a valid Property/Casualty License.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office - Excel, Word, Power Point and Outlook.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Strong Verbal and Written Communication skills.
  • Capable of prioritizing multiple projects/deadlines.
  • Ability to prioritize workload and timelines efficiently and effectively.
  • Possesses sophisticated analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills and abilities.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of proven experience.

Pay Transparency Laws:

The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $68,000 to $78,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant’s geographic location.
