Job summary

McKesson is seeking an entry-level Associate Biomedical Technician in Moon Township, PA. You will perform preventive maintenance and minor repairs on a range of biomedical equipment, learning troubleshooting and operation while supporting business growth initiatives.

The role requires 0–1 year of experience, strong communication, and a solid technical background. Typical shift is Mon-Fri, 7:30am–6pm, with overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance (PMs) and minor repairs on biomedical equipment.

• Ensure accurate database entry and reporting.
• Meet production goals for the department.
• Participate in mentoring as required.

Associate Biomed (entry level)

Location: Moon Township, PA, USA - 520 Lindbergh Drive

Shift Details: Monday to Friday, must be available to work an 8 hour shift between the hours of 7:30am-6pm. OT mandatory if required

Compensation - $22/hr

Job Summary

An entry-level Associate Biomedical Technician who is capable of doing preventive maintenance on a wide variety of biomedical equipment. Should have a technical background and the ability to perform minor repairs. Expected to learn troubleshooting skills and operation of a wide variety of biomedical equipment. He/she will be expected to participate in business growth and productivity improvement initiatives.

Essential duties & Responsibilities

• Will perform PM’s and minor repairs on a variety of biomedical equipment
• Will mentor and assist PM technicians
• Will identify training needs for self
• Will assure the service area is clean and orderly, providing a safe environment for service personnel
• Will assure accurate database entry and reports
• Expected to meet production goals set for the department
• Will participate in mentoring when required

Qualifications and Skills

• Some knowledge of various hospital/homecare medical equipment
• Excellent customer communication skills
• Computer literate with an understanding of database operations
• Understanding of and ability to operate basic electronic test equipment
• Basic knowledge of electronics, electricity, electro-mechanical, fluidics, pneumatics and hydraulic theories and practices
• Strong work ethic and focus on quality work
• Must be organized
• Ability to communicate with all levels of personnel
• Strong attention to detail, ability to maintain focus with intermittent distractions with strong ability to trouble shoot in a fast paced environment
• Strong organization and time management skills
• Professionalism and a mature sense of accountability
