Our Dallas client company is searching for an Associate AWS Cloud Engineer with 2+ years of hands‑on experience supporting AWS infrastructure in production environments to deploy, administer, and support AWS infrastructure and services across multiple environments.
The successful candidate will be able to effectively troubleshoot infrastructure, networking, and application issues, and perform root cause analysis; support and improve CI/CD pipelines for application and infrastructure deployments; participate in infrastructure projects, upgrades, and production support, including executing DR procedures and runbooks; monitor environments using CloudWatch and related tooling; respond to performance, availability, and security issues; write and maintain Infrastructure as Code using CloudFormation and/or Terraform or equivalent; build and improve automation scripts that reduce manual operational work; help implement and maintain AWS security controls and identity management (IAM); collaborate with software development, security, and infrastructure teams; and create and maintain technical documentation and operational procedures.
In addition, candidates MUST have written and modified IaC templates and understand what they deploy (CloudFormation, Terraform, or equivalent); have working knowledge of AWS core services (compute, storage, databases, networking, and security); have created scripts in Python, Bash, or PowerShell to automate operational tasks (not just modify/run existing scripts); have experience using CloudWatch, PagerDuty, or equivalent for monitoring and alerting; have contributed to CI/CD pipelines; have experience with Git-based workflows; and have proven troubleshooting instincts (you can walk us through a problem you diagnosed and how you approached it).
Candidates must further be able to participate in monthly IT maintenance and development team code promotions (off‑hours and weekends), as well as weekly on‑call rotations every 6 weeks.
Candidates MUST be able to work for any U.S. employer without sponsorship or visa transfer, whether now or in the future.
