Job summary

Forvis Mazars US is seeking an accounting student for a full-time Audit opportunity in Orlando. You will use critical thinking to help clients solve problems and build business relationships, while developing technical skills for a CPA-ready career.

You will be coached by experienced staff and management, with opportunities to participate in audits or tax and gradually assume greater responsibility as your skills grow.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required (associates encouraged to apply) and CPA eligibility by start date
• Must maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0
• Achieve a minimum grade of C or higher in intermediate accounting

Responsibilities

• Complete audit testing on financial statement accounts (cash, AP, fixed assets)
• Assist in reconciling account differences and analyzing financial data
• Support drafting management letter comments and the audit report
• Attend client meetings with partners and managers to observe and learn

How You Will Contribute

• Completing audit testing on financial statement accounts such as cash, accounts payable, or fixed assets
• Working with client personnel to reconcile account differences and analyze financial data
• Helping to draft management letter comments and the audit report
• Participating in client meetings alongside Forvis Mazars partners and managers

Minimum Qualifications

• Associate positions require a bachelor's degree
  • Must maintain a minimum cumulative overall GPA of 3.0
  • Achievement of a minimum grade of C or higher in job-relevant coursework
  • Achievement of a minimum grade of C or higher in intermediate accounting
• Candidates must be eligible to sit for the CPA exam in at least one U.S. State by the start date of the role
• Solid technical accounting knowledge
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Must have reliable transportation to and from your assigned office and be able to attend off-site meetings and events in person

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior internships in a public accounting firm performing audit work
