Job summary

BCG Attorney Search is seeking an Associate Attorney to join its Securities Litigation Practice Group in New York City. This full‑time role offers opportunities for professional growth and increased responsibilities within the practice group.

The candidate will investigate, prepare, and file securities class actions, manage discovery, conduct depositions, draft briefs, and engage in case management, with travel as needed and collaboration with co-counsel.

Qualifications

• Legal degree from an accredited institution.
• Current Bar admission in good standing in the United States.
• Strong written and oral communication and research abilities.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Investigate, prepare, and file securities class action complaints.
• Generate and answer discovery requests and manage records.
• Conduct and defend depositions and draft briefs and submissions.
• Assist in case management and coordinate with co-counsel.
• Travel for depositions, mediations, and hearings as needed.
• Communicate with clients and maintain confidentiality.

Duties

• Investigate, prepare, and file securities class action complaints.
• Generate and answer discovery, including records requests.
• Conduct and defend depositions.
• Draft legal briefs and other court submissions.
• Actively engage in case management.
• Regularly communicate and coordinate with co-counsel.
• Travel to depositions, mediations, meetings, and hearings as necessary.

Requirements

• Speaks clearly and persuasively; listens and asks for clarification.
• Conducts thorough legal and factual research; familiar with WestLaw and Lexis.
• Writes clearly and informatively; edits work for content, grammar, and spelling.
• Works independently; prioritizes and anticipates work needs.
• Keeps client and firm information strictly confidential.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft suite and experience with timekeeping software.

Education

Legal degree from an accredited institution.

Certifications

Current admission in good standing to any Bar in the United States.
