Job summary

A downtown law firm is seeking an Associate Attorney to provide legal representation to clients. Responsibilities include preparing legal documents, communicating with clients about their cases, and attending trials. The ideal candidate will hold a Juris Doctorate degree, have a law license in Missouri, and preferably in Illinois. Qualifications

• Completion of law school with a Juris Doctorate degree.
• Law license for all courts in which attorney practices.
• Licensure by the Missouri Bar is mandatory; Illinois licensure preferred.

Responsibilities

• Communicates with clients to keep them informed of developments related to their case.
• Prepares legal documents including discovery motions and briefs.
• Gathers evidence, conducts research, and develops strategy on behalf of the client.
• Attends and assists at trials.
• Researches legal issues and prepares memorandums.
