Job summary

WV Bar seeks an Associate Attorney or Counsel to join its Land, Mineral & Property Practice in Charleston, WV or Morgantown, WV. The role welcomes candidates at both associate and counsel levels, with hiring decisions based on experience and fit for the practice.

Qualifications

Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
Admission to the West Virginia Bar or eligibility for admission.
Strong legal research, analytical, writing, and communication skills.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities.

Responsibilities

Research and analyze legal issues involving land ownership, mineral interests, real property rights, and related matters.
Draft, review, and analyze title opinions, legal instruments, agreements, and other documents relevant to the practice.
Assist with matters involving mineral ownership, real property interests, title examination, and related legal issues.
Work collaboratively with attorneys, clients, and professional staff to develop practical and effective legal solutions.
Manage assigned matters and projects efficiently while maintaining accuracy and organization.
