Job summary

Kohn Law Firm S.C. is seeking an Associate Attorney to join our Milwaukee office and litigate cases in Illinois. This role would primarily be a work-from-home opportunity, though in-person court appearances in Illinois may be necessary.

All travel costs for court appearances are fully reimbursed. The Associate Attorney will manage the full litigation cycle, review account documentation, and handle pleadings and court appearances.

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice law in Illinois by hire date or pending Illinois bar results with ability to obtain license.
• Experience in collections, tort/subrogation, or commercial litigation is a plus and may be considered in compensation; training available for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

• Manage full litigation cycle: review account-level documentation and pleadings; oversee court appearances.
• Represent clients in court and prepare/approve pleadings and motions.
• Collaborate with team on case strategy and client communications.

Kohn Law Firm S.C. is a nationally recognized collection firm based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin that handles debt collection and litigation in Wisconsin and Illinois.

We are currently seeking an Associate Attorney to work with our office in Milwaukee and litigate cases in Illinois. This role would primarily be a work-from-home opportunity, though in-person court appearances in Illinois may be necessary. All costs for travel, parking, etc. are fully reimbursed.

Responsibilities and Requirements

The Associate Attorney will be responsible for seeing accounts through the full litigation cycle including the review of account-level documentation; reviewing and approving pleadings; and handling court appearances.

Experience in collections, tort/subrogation, or commercial litigation is a plus, and will be considered in compensation, but we are willing to train the right candidate.

Applicants must be licensed to practice law in Illinois on or before the date of hire. However, applicants that are not yet licensed in Illinois or are new graduates with pending bar results are welcome to apply provided they can obtain the required Illinois license.
