Law Firm in the United States seeks an experienced liability defense attorney to handle general liability matters for insurance carriers in a remote setting.

You will draft pleadings, manage discovery, and work with experts while guiding clients through the litigation process. A Florida Bar license and 1+ year of liability defense experience are required. The role offers full benefits and a collaborative, fully remote team.

Qualifications

• Active FL Bar in good standing.
• At least 1 year of liability defense experience.
• Strong legal research and writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day handling of general liability cases for insurance carriers.
• Draft and file litigation documents including pleadings, discovery requests/responses, motions.
• Guide clients through the case process and coordinate with experts.
• Prepare for depositions, mediations, hearings, and court appearances.
• Collaborate with expert witnesses and draft reports as needed.

Job description

• Day-to-day handling of general liability cases on behalf of insurance carriers
• Drafting and filing of litigation documents to include pleadings, discovery requests, discovery responses, demands, motions and memorandum
• Guide clients through the case process
• Interaction with expert witnesses to include conferences, drafting of expert reports and affidavits
• Attendance and preparation for depositions, mediations, hearings, and court appearances

Qualification

• An active member in good standing with the FL Bar Association
• 1+ years of liability defense experience
