Job summary

Goostree Law Group in St. Charles, IL seeks a driven family law associate to handle complex divorce and custody matters, supported by a collaborative team that values professionalism, empathy and excellence.

You will conduct consultations with prospective clients, develop tailored legal strategies, manage a diverse caseload, draft pleadings and motions, and appear in court for hearings, mediations and trials, with limited hybrid work options.

Qualifications

• 3 years of litigation experience
• An interest in family law
• Strong abilities in legal research, persuasive writing, and effective negotiation
• Exceptional communication and client relationship management skills

Responsibilities

• Represent clients in family law matters, including divorce, custody, and support cases, from initial consultation through resolution
• Conduct consultations with prospective clients and develop tailored legal strategies
• Manage a diverse caseload with attention to detail, efficiency, and client communication
• Draft and review pleadings, motions, and related legal documents
• Appear in court for hearings, mediations, and trials
• Collaborate closely with fellow attorneys and support staff to achieve positive outcomes for clients
