Tim Rusk Attorneys in Washington seeks a qualified criminal defense attorney to manage a personal caseload from the initial meeting through resolution, working with Tim and a small, capable team. You will appear before judges and coordinate with our intake unit to connect with potential clients daily.

The ideal candidate is licensed to practice in Washington (or eligible) with several years of criminal defense or related experience, able to negotiate with prosecutors, file motions, and try cases

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice law in Washington or eligible for admission.
• Several years of criminal defense, prosecution, or related experience.

Responsabilités

• Carry a criminal defense caseload from first meeting through resolution.
• Meet with potential clients, assess fit, and take on suitable cases.
• Appear in Pierce and King County district, municipal, and superior courts.
• Negotiate with prosecutors, prepare motions, and try cases when appropriate.
• Collaborate with intake team to ensure timely client communication.

You will carry your own criminal defense caseload from the first meeting through resolution, working directly with Tim and a small, capable team, in front of judges you will get to know well. Our intake team connects you with potential clients every day.

What You'll Do:

• Carry a criminal defense caseload and work each case from qualified first call through resolution


• Meet with potential clients, explain their situation plainly, and take on the cases that are a fit


• Appear in Pierce and King County district, municipal, and superior courts


• Negotiate with prosecutors, prepare motions, and try cases when that is the right call for the client


• Work with our intake team so potential clients hear back quickly

Requirements:

Licensed to practice in Washington, or eligible for admission. A few years of practice experience in criminal de ffense, prosecution and a closely related work..
