Qualifications

Job description

Vaughan, Fincher & Sotelo, PC is a team of attorneys and legal professionals dedicated to providing comprehensive estate planning and estate administration services to clients in Virginia, Maryland, and the District of Columbia.

Role Description

This is a full-time in-person role for an associate attorney located in our Tysons, VA office with the possibility of some time spent in our Leesburg, VA office. The associate attorney will work as part of a team passionate about helping our clients leave a legacy for their family through their estate plan and assisting families through the estate and trust administration process.

The position involves immediate client contact, to include meeting with clients to discuss estate planning issues and solutions, preparing and reviewing estate planning documents and interfacing with outside advisors to implement plans. In addition, the associate attorney will be involved in the estate administration process to include meeting with clients, devising a strategy for the estate administration process and ensuring deadlines are met in a timely fashion.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
• Virginia Bar admission required.MD and DC Bar admission a plus.
• 4+ years of experience in estate planning and/or estate/trust administration
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Additional qualifications and experience in areas such as tax law or business law are also valued. The ideal candidate should have strong interpersonal skills and be committed to providing excellent client service.
