About the Role

We're looking for a Family Law Attorney to join our team in Topeka or Kansas City, with the possibility of a hybrid schedule. In this role, you'll represent clients through divorce, custody, child support, paternity, adoption, and other domestic relations matters — helping people navigate difficult transitions with clarity and confidence.

Day to day, you'll:

• Represent clients in divorce, child custody, child support, paternity, and other family law matters
• Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and settlement agreements
• Meet with clients to understand their goals, explain their options, and build case strategy
• Appear in court hearings and mediations
• Negotiate with opposing counsel to reach favorable resolutions
• Collaborate with staff to keep cases organized and moving forward
• Maintain clear, consistent communication with clients throughout their case

What We're Looking For

• J.D. from an accredited law school, with an active license (or eligibility for licensure) to practice in Kansas
• Experience or strong interest in family/domestic law
• Solid legal research and drafting skills
• Strong negotiation and courtroom advocacy skills
• Clear, confident written and oral communication
• Ability to manage a caseload with competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment
