Role Description

The Associate Attorney will work full time on-site at the firm’s San Jose, CA office, supporting clients in family law and related practice areas. Day-to-day responsibilities include meeting with clients, assessing legal issues, and providing clear, actionable legal advice. The role involves drafting pleadings, motions, discovery, and settlement agreements, as well as conducting legal research and preparing for hearings and trials. The Associate Attorney will appear in court, negotiate with opposing counsel, and collaborate with colleagues and staff to manage case files efficiently. The position also includes maintaining accurate documentation, tracking deadlines, and contributing to firm initiatives that enhance client service.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Law with experience or interest in family law matters.
• Knowledge of Labor and Employment Law where relevant to family-related issues is beneficial.
• Ability to provide sound Legal Advice grounded in thorough analysis and client-focused judgment.
• Proficiency in legal Research, including case law, statutes, and regulatory materials.
• Effective Negotiation skills for settlements, mediations, and client advocacy.
• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and active California bar license.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including clear drafting and courtroom presentation.
• Ability to manage multiple cases, prioritize deadlines, and work collaboratively in an on-site team environment.
• Prior experience in family law or litigation practice is preferred but not strictly required.
