Job summary

Clausen Miller P.C. in New York is seeking an Associate Attorney to support a Senior Partner on a diverse caseload spanning casualty defense, premises liability, and environmental liability.

From day one, you'll take depositions, make court appearances, and build your litigation skills within a collaborative, well-resourced team. Applicants should have strong written and oral advocacy, and be prepared to manage discovery and filings in fast-paced matters.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of litigation experience in casualty defense, premises liability, or environmental liability
• Active New York bar admission required; New Jersey bar admission a plus
• Strong written and oral advocacy skills
• Detail-oriented self-starter comfortable working in a fast-paced litigation environment

• Conduct and defend depositions

Clausen Miller P.C. is a nationally recognized insurance defense firm with decades of experience representing major insurers and self-insured clients across complex litigation matters. We're growing our New York litigation team and looking for a motivated Associate Attorney to work closely with a Senior Partner on a diverse caseload spanning casualty defense, premises liability, and environmental liability.

This is a hands-on role from day one — you'll be taking depositions, making court appearances, and building your litigation skills within a collaborative, well-resourced team.

What You'll Do

• Draft and argue motions, pleadings, discovery demands, and responses
• Conduct and defend depositions
• Manage discovery, including interrogatories and document review
• Perform legal research and case analysis
• Appear in New York courts as needed

What We're Looking For

Compensation & Benefits
