Job summary

Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. (QPWB) is seeking a California-licensed Labor and Employment attorney with 5+ years of experience to join its Labor and Employment Practice Group in Los Angeles.

You will defend employers in labor and employment matters, draft motions, respond to discovery, and appear in court. Admitted to practice in CA, strong research and writing skills, and the ability to manage cases through mediation, arbitration, and trial are essential.

Qualifications

  • CA bar admission required.
  • 5+ years of Labor & Employment experience.
  • Strong court appearance capabilities.
  • Experience drafting motions and handling discovery.
  • Excellent research and writing skills.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and manage labor and employment matters for clients.
  • Draft and review legal documents including motions and settlements.
  • Advise and represent clients in court proceedings, arbitration, and mediations.

At QPWB, our Labor and Employment Practice Group is composed of seasoned attorneys dedicated to assisting a diverse range of clients, including employers, carriers, third-party administrators, and self-insureds, in the defense of labor and employment-related actions. From initial claims handling through mediation, arbitration, trial, and appeal, we provide comprehensive legal representation tailored to the unique needs of each client. As an Attorney specializing in labor and employment, your role will involve:

  • Evaluating and managing labor and employment cases, developing effective legal strategies.
  • Drafting and reviewing various legal documents, including motions, pleadings, and settlement agreements.
    -In addition, may draft various agreements pertaining to employee conduct, policies and regulatory compliance, as necessary.
  • Advising and representing clients in court proceedings, arbitration, and mediations.
  • Draft various agreements pertaining to employment laws, regulatory compliance, and negotiations.
  • Regularly attending court appearances to ensure the best possible outcomes for our clients.
  • Taking and defending depositions of fact witnesses and expert witnesses.
