Job summary

LNN Law (Levin & Nalbandyan, LLP) in Los Angeles seeks a Personal Injury Associate Attorney with 2–4 years of litigation experience to join our expanding plaintiff-side team.

You'll manage a caseload from intake through trial, develop strategy, draft pleadings and motions, take depositions, and work closely with partners to pursue favorable resolutions for injured clients. Strong California PI knowledge required; Litify experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active membership in good standing with the State Bar of California.
• 2–4 years of personal injury litigation experience.

Responsibilities

Our Personal Injury practice continues to grow, and we are seeking a driven Personal Injury Associate Attorney with 2–4 years of litigation experience to join our team. This is an opportunity for an attorney who is ready to take meaningful ownership of cases, sharpen their litigation skills, and grow within a collaborative, results-driven plaintiff-side practice.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of personal injury matters from intake and investigation through settlement, litigation, and trial.
• Develop case strategy and independently move assigned matters forward while collaborating with partners and senior attorneys on complex litigation.
• Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, discovery, trial briefs, settlement demands, and other substantive legal documents.
• Propound and respond to written discovery and manage discovery strategy throughout litigation.
• Take and defend depositions of parties, witnesses, experts, and other relevant individuals.
• Prepare for and attend mediations, arbitrations, hearings, settlement conferences, and court proceedings.
• Evaluate liability, damages, medical records, insurance coverage, and other factors affecting case value and strategy.
• Negotiate with insurance carriers and defense counsel to pursue favorable resolutions for clients.
• Prepare cases for trial, including witness preparation, exhibits, motions in limine, expert coordination, and other pretrial matters.
• Maintain regular and compassionate communication with clients, providing clear guidance regarding case strategy, legal risks, developments, and potential outcomes.
• Collaborate closely with paralegals, case managers, legal assistants, and other members of the litigation team to ensure cases progress efficiently and deadlines are met.
• Maintain organized and accurate case files and ensure compliance with applicable court rules, statutes, and internal case-management standards.

What We’re Looking For

• 2–4 years of personal injury litigation experience, preferably representing plaintiffs.
• Meaningful experience handling bodily injury matters; experience with catastrophic injury and wrongful death cases is highly valued.
• Demonstrated ability to independently manage cases and litigation deadlines.
• Strong knowledge of California personal injury law, tort law, civil discovery, and litigation procedure.
• Experience taking and defending depositions and participating in mediations and court proceedings.
• Strong legal research, writing, advocacy, and negotiation skills.
• Sound judgment and the ability to analyze liability, damages, and litigation strategy.
• Proactive, driven, and comfortable managing competing priorities in a fast-paced practice.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a genuine commitment to client advocacy.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with attorneys and support teams while taking ownership of assigned matters.
• Familiarity with legal case-management and litigation platforms such as Litify, SmartAdvocate, Filevine, Clio, or similar systems. Litify experience is a plus.

• Strong understanding of California tort law, civil discovery, motion practice, and trial procedure.
• Proven ability to manage personal injury matters with increasing independence.

• Strong organizational and case-management abilities with meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative, and performance-driven environment.
